The Governing Board of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E) has elected Mr. Ludovick.S.L. Utouh, The Controller and Auditor General of the United Republic of Tanzania to be the Chairman of the Governing Board of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions for English Speaking countries (AFROSAI-E).
The election was held on 16th April 2010, during the 7th Meeting of the Governing Board of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions which was held in Maseru, Lesotho from 12-16 April, 2010.
Before Mr. Utouh being elected as Chairman of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, he was a member of the Governing Board of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E).
Mr. Utouh takes over the chairmanship for a period of three years from Mr. John E. Kandjeke Auditor General of Namibia.
AFROSAI-E is an organization of English Speaking Supreme Audit Institutions, with a membership of 24 countries in Africa which was established on 1st January 2005, for the purpose of promoting and developing the exchange of ideas and experience among the Supreme Audit Institution’s of the African states in the field of the Public sector Auditing.
Currently, the Secretariet of AFROSAI is situated in Pretoria, South Africa.
