From 1 March 2010, Discovery Channel will be available for the first time in the general entertainment section of the DStv channel line up and the Discovery portfolio will expand with the launch of Discovery World. These two brands join Animal Planet to diversify Discovery’s African programming offerings. The Discovery portfolio now includes Discovery Channel (channel 121: entertainment), Discovery World (channel 250: lead factual zone) and Animal Planet (channel 264: female audiences).
