The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office in Tanzania invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzania nationals to fill the vacant post of Communications Analyst.

SUMMARY OF KEY FUNCTIONS:
Ensures development and implementation of a UNDP CO communication strategy
Public information management and strengthening of external relations
Maximize publicity of UNDP/Delivering as One
Supervision of the UNDP website, intranet, CO web-based knowledge management system
Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing within UNDP and with partners
Effective management of the Communications Office and supervision of Communications staff
RECRUITMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
At least Master’s level in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations; or equivalent professional work experience in the communication area, combined with an advanced university degree in a related discipline;
At least two years of directly relevant experience at the national or international level in public relations, communications or advocacy;
Previous experience with a multilateral or international organization is helpful but not mandatory;
Extensive experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based management systems;
Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
