IAEA Director-General ..The International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA) Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei is in Tanzania for a two days official visit.El Baradei discussed with President Jakaya Kikwete about peaceful use of Uranium,which has been recently discovered in Tanzania.Tanzania plans to use its uranium deposits to generate alternative energy with technical backing from the IAEA.Tanzania wants to work with IAEA to enhance local capacities through science and technology transfer mechanisms.ElBaradei visited neighbouring Kenya on Thursday and also will travel to South Africa and Botswana.
