NBA Draft 2009 -- Hasheem Thabeet Portrait!!

Ex-UConn star Hasheem Thabeet gives a playful shrug during media availability for the 2009 NBA Draft.

I'm Starting Draft Previews For NBA Teams, If Your Interested In Reading Please Don't Hesitate Memphis Grizzlies Picks 2, 27 and 36 Record: 28-58 The Grizzlies are young and an upcoming team, lets take a look at the Grizzles Free Agents Hakim Warrick- Resign Mike Wilks-Release Hamed Haddadi -Release Darius Miles-Release Quinton Ross-Resign

In the draft Pick #2 Hasheem Thabeet Hasheem is an impact player on defense and adds a bit of a scoring punch, Memphis was 21st in the league defense they should advance after drafting Thabeet. But like every rookie Thabeet will need time to develop Ricky Rubio For the people who think Rubio fits Memphis system, he doesn't. Rubio might be drafted by Memphis but he will have to play behind mike Conley he might be ready to be on the big stage in Memphis. My suggestion to the Grizzlies is to leave Rubio and let Conley develop over time. Pick 27 A.J. Abrams Now you can get a back-up for Mike, why draft Ricky and not get the big prize Memphis was aiming for? Abrams game is fantastic a bit under sized though. Pick 36 Dante Cunningham Dante can play the SF position behind Rudy Gay, if you look at the Grizzlies roster they don't have true SF besides Rudy. These 3 picks will Memphis a long way In Free Agency Sign a sturdy Center.
