The French Government has provide 14 scholarship to Tanzanian!

The French Government has provide 14 scholarship to various Tanzanian teachers to undergo in France a one month course on French language and training programme of French as a Foreign language.


The scholarship under a French project on Assistance in teaching of French in Tanzania has been allotted to teachers from Secondary School, University of Dar es Salaam and from the college o Business Education.


According to the French Embassy Communication Officer Joseph Kithama, other educationists to have been awarded a scholarship are inspectors of Primary and Secondary School and Curriculum planes from Tanzania Institute of Education (TEI).


Since 2008, Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in collaboration with the French Government is implementing a comprehensive action plan to enhance the teaching and learning of French in Tanzania. The French government is committed to assist education and wasters sectors in Tanzania through specific interventions agreed under a bilateral agreement between the two countries. French Ambassador to Tanzania Hon.


Jacques Champagne de Labriolle is scheduled to host a brief reception on July 30th, 2010 to departing Tanzanian educationist.”Bon Voyage”. In November 2009, a batch of 23 Tanzanians teachers went to France for a similar course, aimed at improving their level of French and their capacity to teach the language.
