USPORT PROGRAM FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
BROUGHT BY LZ ENTERPRISE & PURDUE UNIVERSITY TO TANZANIA
HON. SHAMUHUNA, HON. BENDERA AND TANZANIAN SPORTS DELEGATION DEPART FOR INDIANAPOLIS – USA ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17.
LZ Enterprise brings a wide range of opportunity to Tanzania through sports-tourism, promotions and now youth development through sports. LZ Enterprise has joined forces with Purdue University, University of Indiana, University of Notre Dame, The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Indiana Pacers Organization (NBA) and the Indiana Sports Corporation (ISC) to bring a top-ranked youth sports program, called USPORT, to assist in bringing sports back to all secondary schools in Tanzania.
LZ Enterprise and the USPORT delegation will be hosting the following official Tanzanian delegation in Indianapolis, Indiana USA from Nov 17 -21:

Mr. Frank Macha (Tanzania): Principle Sports Officer
Mr. Richard Kasesela (Tanzania): President of Tanzania Basketball Federation
Ms. Laurel Hubert (USA): LZ Enterprise NGO Co-Director
The visiting delegation will visit a host of high level destinations, from the Governor of Indiana’s Office to the American College of Sports Medicine, NCAA, the National Institute for Fitness & Health, and dinner with the Pacers NBA team and a Pacers Game vs. Atlanta Hawks in Box #1 with Larry Bird and Sam Perkins.
USPORT is designed to provide youth sports programs in all regions of mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. All sports development depends on a broad youth sports program that builds a sports culture and cultivates and identifies future champions while building community infrastructure for all. USPORT will build this fundamental sports infrastructure by strengthening existing programs and focusing on the Tanzanian school system.
USPORT will train coaches, referees, recreation league managers, tournament and game day supervisors, as well as sports mentors/teachers to present “Time Out” sessions through a program hosted in the U.S.
All youth will take “Time Out” sessions on leadership, tolerance and conflict resolution, sportsmanship and character development, health and HIV/AIDS education, and community service.
