On the 8th November 2009 at around 14 hrs a fire was detected in the Maisha VIP area by our good neighbours and pesnnel on duty. when iti became apparent that they wpuld not be able to successfully extinguish the rapidly spreading fir. they immediately called in the police Kinondoni Region Dar es salaam city fire service Knight Support, Group4 as well as Tanesco to switch of the power nertwork in the area. With Lots of courage from the fire service departments CLUB MAISHA employees and neighbours the fire was contained at around 6.30 pm to the extensive destructionof everything that was in the club, it is with luck that no injury to both the fire tenders and CLUB MAISHA employees and neighbours was recorded.
The couse of this damaging is still unknown and at current CLUB MAISHA management with the help of experts is establishing the extent of damage to property and stock.on behalf of CLUB MAISHA Management and staff we would like to thank all individualswho have gone beyond the call of duty in helping us, in particular Dar es salaam City Fire Service Knight Support , Gropu4 Security, TANESCO, Kinondoni Region Police Force,Oysterbay ward Leadership, our neighbours and the press and not to forget friends, family members and all best wishers who sent us massages of encouragement and sympathy.
We shall continue to give an update of developments as more findings unford.
