EXIM BANK SUPPORTS IFAKARA HELTH INSTITUTE!!

Exim Bank donates Ths 1,000,000 in recognizing and apreciating the efforts done by Ifakar Herth Institute under its project -9 monthis Puls (Headed by Astha Romaiya) which aims at eradicating school dropouts due to underage pregnancies and HIV in Tanzania.
Reseach indicates that despite the fact that the enrollment ratio of children at primary level may be 50:50 (Boys and Girl), only about 30% girls reach and complete starndard 7, leading to a an increased number of uneducated and financially unstable women. the major cause of this astonishing fact is underlying factor of povert in Tanzania.

The eradicationa of school dropouts is done through.

Training of teachers

.Eduation on Underage pregnancies and HIV as Part of the currculum from the age of 11in a School
Increase cotroception knowledge

. Ability for young mothers to return to school after giving birth (long term) etc.

Furthermore, Exim Bank realize the fact that women have a great responsibility of supporting their families on matters of health , family welfare, education etc; tjese wome needs financial support from financial istitutitions which is again these wome luck access to. having realized this, Exim Bank introduced women financial support programs for women in busness salaries, small busness owners and house wives. these two programs are women Enterpreneurs Finance program - WEF which deals with those women already in busness and need financial support and Tumaini Savings Program which aims at improving savings habit among salaried women, house wives and women petty busness owners.

Exim Bank completed its phase 1 women training in financial literacy banking, networking and capacity building. the phase 1 women training was done at its branches that are Moshi, Arusha, Mt Meru. Mwanza, Tanga, Mtwara and Morogoro. pahse II traioning will include Dar es alaam Zanzibar, Mbeya and Comoros.
