Brazilian Defender Lucio.Lucio admitted that he shed a tear after leaving Bayern Munich yesterday to join Inter Milan.
The Brazilian defender today arrived in Milan to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Italian club. He will then fly to Los Angeles, where I Nerazzurri are currently based for a pre-season training camp.
He said his goodbyes to staff in Munich yesterday only hours after returning to the city for the first time having led Brazil to glory at the FIFA Confederations Cup, and he admitted it was an emotional occasion. "I had an unforgettable time for five years here, was able to win many titles and I will never forget that," he told Munich's Tz newspaper.

"[General manager] Uli Hoeness' secretary has always helped me and became a very good friend - she has a big heart and is very kind. She cried when I left and I did too."
While leaving Munich was a difficult decision, Lucio claimed it was inevitable after learning he would not be given more than a one-year extension to his contract next year. At the age of 31, he required more long-term security, which is what the Italian champions were able to offer him.
"Inter really wanted me, Bayern didn't. A new stage in my life begins from now," he said. "When Inter's offer came in, it made my decision easy. Inter are a giant and it is going to be spectacular for me.
