National Officer (NOB) Communication for Development (1 Year Only)

UNICEF is seeking an energetic, creative communication professional to
support programmes for children in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will
help develop and implement behaviour change communication strategies for
child survival, to protect children from violence, and to encourage children to
stay in school. He/She will also play a key role in supporting advocacy for
children’s issues with the government, media, civil society and the public.
If you are the right candidate for this post you are a dedicated, articulate,
communication professional, with at least two years experience working in
social communication. You have a degree in communication, social science
or related field, and have a natural flair for working in teams. You are fluent in
both English and Kiswahili, and have strong writing abilities. You understand
some of the challenges involved in behaviour change communication and
you may have some experience in radio and/or visual communication.
