SCB Tanzania scooped the ‘Best Overall Employer of the Year - 2008” Award at the Association of Tanzania Employer of the Year Awards. The Bank was further crowned Best in large enterprise; Best in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS and Best in Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics.
The Bank was the Overall winner in a crowded field of more than 50 Companies that operate in the country.
Present at the colourful ceremony was the Tanzania Prime Minister, Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda; the Minister for Labour Employment and Youth Development, Hon. Prof. Juma Kapuya; and the Minister for Community Development, Gender and Children, Hon. Margaret Simwanza Sitta.
The awards seek to honour BEST EMPLOYERS in Tanzania with best practices in Human Resources Management.
