COMMUNIQUÉ ON THE MEETING OF THE HEADS OF POLITICAL PARTIES OF FORMER LIBERATION MOVEMENTS, 6TH MAY, 2010, DARE S SALAAM!!

RECOGNIZING the importance of the project “the Roads to Independence in Africa: the African Liberation Heritage Programme” that seek to celebrate Africa’s recent past in which Africans were main actors of their liberation and achieved their freedom through struggle and sacrifice;

ACKNOWLEDGING that the project’s major components include the construction of a museum, library and archives and aims at recognizing the spirit of solidarity and cooperation amongst Africans in the context of the libration movements;

RECOGNIZING further that the importance of liberation movements to the process of decolonization of the continent as well as the role played by Tanzania and other independent African countries in providing material and moral support to the liberation movements which led to the struggle for independence in Southern Africa;
